In the second quarter of 2023, the top five news and magazines apps in Algeria displayed varied performance metrics, according to Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at their downloads, revenue, and active users trends.

نبض Nabd - اخبار العالم ، عاجل from Nabd Ltd saw significant fluctuations in its weekly downloads. The app started the quarter with around 3.7K downloads in late March, peaking at 11.3K in mid-June before dipping to approximately 3.8K by the end of June. Active users showed a slight decline from 156.6K at the beginning of the quarter to 148K at the end, despite a peak of 185.9K in mid-June.

Algerie TV - القنوات الجزائرية by Samirtvdev also experienced varying download numbers. Starting with 6K downloads in late March, the app saw a notable dip to 681 downloads by the end of June, with a few spikes mid-quarter, including a surge to 5.9K downloads in mid-June.

CGTN – China Global TV Network from CGTN had a dramatic increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter. Beginning with a mere 993 downloads in late March, the app saw an impressive jump to 11.1K downloads by mid-June, maintaining high numbers of around 9.2K by the end of June. Active users also increased significantly, starting at 2.1K and peaking at 12.3K in mid-June.

Mediapart, journal indépendant by Société éditrice de Mediapart experienced a steady stream of downloads throughout the quarter. Downloads fluctuated between 1.2K and 3.7K, with active users peaking at 22.7K in mid-June from an initial 17.2K in late March.

Yasine Tv from Nora dev, despite its late entry in March 2023, showed promising download numbers. Starting with just 169 downloads in early April, it reached a peak of 6.7K in early June.
